going out for the night?

Newcastle is the home of 2 of the best Universities in the UK, with Northumbria Uni spending over 200 million on their beautiful award winning new campus (including one of the UKs most respected fashion courses) and Newcastle University.

Both campuses have a number of bars and socail events happening daily.

For the culture hungry, there is the amazing Baltic Gallery on Newcastle Quayside which has a vast and often controversial collection of work which changes on a regular basis.

Not only good for its exhibition spaces but also has a great shop and a bustling vibrant coffee shop.

We also have a number of small independent galleries like the side gallery, lazarides, waygood and electric sheep, all showing new and upcoming local artists. Look out for previews in the local press.

Then add to that The Sage music venue, The Newcastle Arena, Carling Academy and Newcastle University Music Venue.

For the sociable student, you couldn’t choose a city with as much choice in bars, clubs and restaurants, with an eclectic mix of foods from all nations, including “Barn @ Asia”, “Salsa Café” and the old trusty “Yo-sushi”, Newcastle has them all.

So, in a nutshell Newcastle offers you an amazing range of venues, to eat, to drink, to dance, to watch, to listen or just to enjoy yourself and all helped along by that well known friendly Geordie spirit.
