Our recent survey among the student tenant market shows that, unsurprisingly, most students rate rent firmly above room size when it comes to choosing their new home.
Second on their list of priorities is the area. Heaton, with its huge choice of properties, community spirit, good transport links and the famous Chillingham Road - where you can buy just about anything - remains the top area of choice for the student market. The leafy suburb of Jesmond comes a close second, thanks to a wide range of Victorian townhouses, flats and apartments for rent, and an excellent choice of bars, shops and places to eat.
The survey also revealed that word of mouth and recommendations from friends continue to be the driving factor behind our constantly growing numbers of student tenants. We couldn’t be more pleased with that - happy tenants are the best possible form of advertising!
